It is likely that your tertiary education providers subscribes to various electronic databases, e-journals and e-books. The use of the content in subscription materials is generally governed by the terms in the separate licence agreement between the institution and the vendor and the terms of each may be different. A subscription licence may permit more (or less) use of copyright than is allowed under the Copyright Act. If you wish to copy content from subscription databases for print course packs or provide electronic access for students, consult your institution’s librarian or copyright officer to determine what you can do.
