The educational provisions under the Copyright Act, especially those that allow you to copy and supply extracts of print material for students, are restrictive. For many tertiary education providers, the statutory rules have been superseded by collective and subscription licensing. However, if your institution does not have a licence, or your requirements are outside the scope of a particular licence, the statutory exceptions may be relevant.
